Device Grading Guide
At Wipe and Recycle IT, LLC, every device is inspected, tested, and assigned a cosmetic grade before being listed for sale. Our grading system helps set clear expectations so customers know the condition of the device they are purchasing.
All devices are fully tested for functionality unless otherwise noted in the listing.
Like New
Devices graded Like New are in excellent cosmetic condition and show little to no signs of previous use.
Typical characteristics may include:
• Very minimal cosmetic wear
• Clean keyboard, palm rest, and display
• Little to no visible scratches or scuffs
• Fully functional hardware
These devices closely resemble the appearance of a new device and are ideal for buyers who want the best cosmetic condition available in refurbished equipment.
Good
Devices graded Good show light signs of normal use but remain in solid cosmetic condition.
Typical characteristics may include:
• Light scratches or small cosmetic marks
• Minor signs of wear on the lid or palm rest
• Clean display with no major imperfections
• Fully functional hardware
These devices offer an excellent balance between condition and value.
Fair
Devices graded Fair have more noticeable cosmetic wear but are still fully functional.
Typical characteristics may include:

• Possible cosmetic imperfections such as small dents or worn edges
• Fully functional hardware

Damaged / Parts
Devices listed as Damaged or For Parts / Repair may have hardware issues, missing components, or physical damage.
Typical characteristics may include:
• Cracked screens or cosmetic damage
• Missing storage drives, memory, or other components
• Power or hardware issues
• Sold for parts, repair, or restoration
These devices are intended for technicians, hobbyists, or parts buyers and are sold as described in the listing.
Fully Tested
Unless otherwise stated, devices listed for sale have been tested to verify basic functionality. Testing typically includes:

What to Expect With Refurbished Devices
